Kirsten wanted to paddle to the Bear Mountain Bridge this morning for her
Such a beautiful day to paddle, even though it was very, very hot. This is a day you want to fall in. Which I did.
Kirsten hydrates with her yucky-tasting Hammer electrolyte-replacing magic drink.
Despite the water on the lens, it's a nice picture of me.
Self portrait. For some reason Kirsten loves these goofy shots. We have many, although usually with fewer mountains in the background.
I finally got rigging installed on my Exocet's deck. Yes, it still needs adjustment, (obviously) but finally I can can carry stuff. Today it was a PFD with Kirsten's weird drinks in the pockets, which was the only reason I packed my big PFD. (I usually use the waist belt in placid summer conditions.)
I have been using Kirsten's Hammer gels, which are a good energy burst when you're on the go. You pull off the top of this space-age looking food then squeeze the goop into your mouth. It has the texture of an old oyster, but it isn't as yucky as her other Hammer things. Ahh, food of the future!
