Home and Down by Two!

Finally recovered from the trip home. Yay, I'm back in Peekskill! Darn, I'm not in Truro!

I always hated the huge Route 6 traffic jam on the way home every Saturday morning, so this year we decided to try something different. We drove Route 6A, which is a local road off the cape. I don't know how much time we saved, but the road was really beautiful. We drove through all those lovely, well-manicured towns, Brewster, Yarmouth, Sandwich, knowing full well that slobs like us could never afford to love there.

Down by two means I'm down two boards. On the way back, we stopped by Kirsten's sister's house and loaned her (Britta) Big Red. She's been interested in Paddling recently and bought herself a good Kialoa Pupu adjustable. Now she's got it and has a good platform to learn. That's because Big Red is a friendly board.

Kirsten at Head of the Meadow Beach in the channel between the beach and the sandbar. She looks meditative on my blue board. That's the effect of standup paddling on you -- makes meditators of us all.

Kirsten hauling out Big Red, giving me a loving gesture with her finger. How sweet!

My big blue board is also down with a crack on the side, but that's a different post.
